Migrating a website can be a pain in the ass
Working in the development industry since few years, getting a migration's project is quite an easy task:
- quite often the libraries used are obsolete
- some librariries or framework have security breaches or are not any more supported
- the technologies evolves constantly, and a website has always to be ahead of the competitors
- with selling a migration, you can also sell new evolutions
BUT, a migration project often goes wrong. The main reasons might be:
